About Us

Redbourn Park is a small school built with the view to help those most in need. Since opening our doors in 2021 we have grown to two sites, now supporting nearly 30 children between the ages of 7 and 16, across Key Stage 2, 3 and 4.

We are a trauma informed therapeutic school for children with Autism, ADHD and early years trauma. Our neuroaffirming approach bridges the gap between settings that focus on either autism or social, emotional and mental health needs, giving each child a consistent yet flexible provision that is built around them.

Everything we do is underpinned by empathy. We have built a kind and committed team who understand that safety and understanding must always come first. Once we have met a child’s basic needs and helped them feel safe and happy, we meet them where they are and then look to be ambitious, supporting every child to reach their full potential.

Pupils are able to be themselves and express their unique personalities. Staff work hard to respond nimbly to pupils’ social and emotional needs. They apply a variety of behaviour management strategies effectively, to encourage pupils to settle, follow routines and access learning. Relationships between adults and pupils are strong.
